The protagonist is strong, a good setting, you can still assassinate your way through the game, and there isn't that much grind (while you should always expect some in an RPG, Odyssey was absolute overkill on that front - likely to see their EXP booster). Origins is the best of the new ones, for me. Loved all the real world goings on in ancient Egypt, building works ,quarries, mummifications etc all missed from the rather bland Greek settings of Odyssey although the sea effect and sea battles were amazing, it was the trivial fetch and carry type missions in Odyssey that became too annoying IMO. I have Odyssey, but after Origins I'm not sure I can face it. Wasn't that impressed with Origins, although its seems a good game it didn't feel like AC to me. But they didn't confirm it's definitely coming. It's not a rumour, Ubisoft said they are looking into it.
